Golden Boat Rentals offers a full refund if the following extenuating circumstances occur:
– An issue with the boat that causes your rental to end prematurely that is deemed to be the responsibility of the owner.
– A problem arises during rental that causes the Renter to end the rental, and is determined to be due to negligence of the owner.
**Refunds & discounts will not be provided for periods of inclement weather within the duration of rentals lasting 24 hours or more.
Cancellations:
– All sales are final and the rental rate paid is non refundable in the event of cancellation by the renter.
– Weather-related cancellations, including but not limited to thunderstorms and heavy rain, that impact more than 50% of the scheduled rental time will be rescheduled to an available weekday (Monday–Thursday) at no additional cost. Weather cancellations will only happen on the day of the booking.
– Booking complications or force majeure events do not entitle the renter to a refund or rescheduling. If the renter is unable to attend the scheduled reservation for reasons not caused by Golden Boat Rentals, the reservation will be subject to the mentioned cancellation and rescheduling policies.
Parking and Loitering:
All boat rental guests must park their vehicles at the dedicated parking lot on Lacys Ln by the Blue Barn, and is aware that the card on file will be charged $250 per car on behalf of the Golden Mast if rules are not followed. Loitering at the marina in front of the Golden Mast is strictly prohibited. Renter agrees to vacate the boat and return to their vehicle at the end of their rental time. Failure to follow the rules will result in a $50 per person or item charge.
Additional Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptable Use:
Renter agrees and acknowledges that he/she will be the sole operator of the Boat, and will use the Boat in a careful, safe, and conscientious manner. Renter shall at all times observe and adhere to any rules and guidelines posted by Owner, and any applicable laws or regulations of the state of Wisconsin. Renter shall be responsible at all times for the safety of any and all passengers in and around the Boat.
At GBR, safety is of utmost importance. Accordingly, a comprehensive safety briefing and an introduction to the fundamental operations of the pontoon boat will be conducted and included within your rental time. Extra time will not be added onto rental to make-up for time lost during briefing. Please arrive 15 – 20 minutes early.
Time slots are created for a reason. Renters that show up 15 minutes late or more will be charged $25. Renters later than 30 minutes will lose their booking and receive no refund.
All children 13 and under are required by law to wear a life jacket at all times while in the boat.
To comply with the weight restrictions of each boat, the number of coolers may be limited.
– 10 Passenger boats – 1375 lbs
– 11 Passenger boats – 1500 lbs
– 12 Passenger boat – 1738 lbs
– 14 Passenger boat – 1946 lbs
– 15 Passenger boat – 2095 lbs
2. Prohibited Activities:
Renter shall not violate any of the following rules and regulations during his/her operation of the Boat:
– There is no fishing on the boat.
– There is no smoking while in the boat.
– There are no drugs or Alcohol permitted in the boat.
– There are no pets permitted in the boat.
– No Swimming while the engine is running.
– ABSOLUTELY NO TYING BOATS TO OTHER BOATS or “Tie-ups”.
– No BBQing or hot substances such as pots/pans and camping stoves.
Damage to Boat and Other Costs.
In addition to the Rental Rate, Renter authorizes Owner to place a pre-authorization hold of $500 on Renter’s credit card (the “Credit Card Pre-Authorization”), upon execution of this Agreement, such that Owner shall have the right to charge such Credit Card for any and all damages incurred by Owner arising out of damage to the Boat during the Rental Period and any other damages incurred by Owner arising out of the default by Renter of this Agreement. Further, Owner shall be entitled to use this Credit Card Pre-Authorization to charge Renter for cover fuel charges for Renter’s use of the Boat during the Rental Period.
3. Life Jacket Requirement:
A life jacket must be worn at all times by all people during use of the Boat.
4. Tubing and Splash Pad use:
Permitted when renting the tubes and splash pads from Golden Boat Rentals. The use of your own tubes and splash pads is not permitted. If you bring inflatables to lounge in we ask that you inflate them as we do not provide that service. Paddle boards and inflatable kayaks are not permitted on the boats.
5. Unsafe Use:
If at any time the Owner determines that Renter has engaged in an unsafe or hazardous use of the Boat, the Owner may immediately terminate the rental portion of this Agreement. If the rental is terminated for unsafe or hazardous use the Renter will not be refunded his/her rental fee. Owner shall determine, in its sole discretion, whether any behavior or activity is “unsafe or hazardous.”
6. Condition of Boat upon Return:
The Renter shall return the boat to the Owner on or before the termination date and time and at the specified location. To avoid a $50 cleaning fee, Renter must return the boat clean and free of mud, sand, garbage, and debris, in the same condition in which the boat was rented, including all parts, and accessories, ordinary wear and tear excepted.
7. Renters are obligated to return the boat on time:
As late returns jeopardize trips of future renters, Late Returns will be charged at the rate of the subsequent rental period plus $200.
8. All Rentals are assumed to depart and return to the Golden Mast Marina within the rental time. Deliveries to any other lakes will need to be arranged prior to reservation.
9. 50% booking deposit is due at time of booking. The remainder will be collected within 14 days of departure of your actual reserved time-slot.
10. Jurisdiction of any and all legal proceedings shall be Waukesha Wisconsin.
